JAMfest Madness is a competitive series lasting throughout the entire 2008-2009 JAMfest season. Not only will you compete against other teams at your event, but this is your chance to go up against every other team that competes at ALL JAMfest events...all year long!

How do I register?
When your team competes at any JAMfest event, you are automatically competing in the JAMfest Madness.

How much does it cost?
There is NO COST to enter the JAMfest Madness race – it is F-R-E-E! All your team has to do is attend JAMfest events to join the Madness!

How much of my time will it take?
No hassle, no worries, no math skills required…JAMfest does all the WORK! The only thing that you will WANT to do is check your results on the Internet each week!

When does JAMfest Madness start?
JAMfest Madness starts with the first JAMfest event of the year in September and ends after the last event in April. It will run through the entire 2008-2009 season.

How will All-Star Teams be scored?
Teams will accumulate points throughout the entire JAMfest season! The Madness points system is based entirely on team scores. Teams will receive points according to their final score at each event. The teams that accumulate the most points by the end of the season will be crowned the winners. Simple and easy…no bias, no hassle, just points!

For all-star teams, the top 3 scores for each team will be used to determine its total number of points! If a team attends more than 3 points events during the season, the 3 highest scores will be added together to determine the total number of points! After attending more than 3 events, each team will have the opportunity to replace a score by scoring higher at another JAMfest event.

How will School Teams be scored?
Teams will accumulate points throughout the entire JAMfest season! The Madness points system is based entirely on team scores. Teams will receive points according to their final score at each event. The teams that accumulate the most points by the end of the season will be crowned the winners. Simple and easy…no bias, no hassle, just points!

The top 2 scores for each team will be used to determine its total number of Madness Points! If a team attends more than 2 JAMfest events during the season, the 2 highest scores will be added together to determine the total number of points! After attending more than 2 events, each team will have the opportunity to replace a score by scoring higher at another JAMfest event.

Here is how JAMfest will calculate each team’s JAMpoints:

Each team’s final score will be multiplied by 1000. This is the number of points that the team will receive for the event. For example, a team with a final score of 8.537 will receive 8,537 points.
Bonus JAMpoints!
Each team that attends either JAMfest Cheer Super Nationals or Dance Super Nationals will receive 300 Bonus JAMpoints.
Each team that attends a JAMfest Nationals Event (2-day Nationals) will receive 200 Bonus Points (per event).
Each team that attends a JAM-BASH National Championship event will receive 100 Bonus Points (per event).
Each team that attends a LIVE! event will receive 100 Bonus Points (per event). Due to different scoring scales, their score will NOT be used, but they will still receive Bonus Points.
Bonus Points will be earned regardless if the team score from that event is used (for teams that attend more than the 2 (school)/3 (all-star) events).

What are the different categories?
JAMfest Madness is designed to recognize each category’s ‘best’ team that competes at multiple JAMfest events. After calculating every teams’ points, there will be several “winners.” Here are the categories…

Dance (All-Star)
Dance (School/Youth League)
Cheer (School/Youth League)
Level 1 Cheer (All-Star)
Level 2 Cheer (All-Star)
Level 3 Cheer (All-Star)
Level 4 Cheer (All-Star)
Level 5 Cheer (All-Star)

Notes on divisions:

If the same all-star team competes in two different levels during the JAMfest season, they are automatically placed into the higher level.
If a program has two teams in the same division, they will be asked to pick specific names for each team.
